**Social Insurance Clinics**

To [legally work in Canada](https://www.senecacollege.ca/international/support/finances-in-canada.html), you need a nine-digit [Social Insurance Number](https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/sin.html) \(SIN\) issued by Service Canada.

At the beginning of each term, Seneca Polytechnic invites Service Canada to come to  campus to issue a SIN on the spot.

Bring original and valid documents listed below to your appointment:

- A study permit issued by IRCC or CIC which indicates the permit holder “may accept employment or “may work” in Canada.
- A passport.

Visit the [Government of Canada website](https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/sin/apply.html) to view a list of acceptable documents.

To guarantee an appointment time, International Students must **register** for a specific time slot.

Check back for registration information as details are finalized.

**Alumo Virtual Session**

Join this virtual session to learn more about Alumo, your health insurance provider.  It will cover details about your benefits and coverage and explain how to submit a claim.  Learn how to access mental health support as an international student. You also have access to crisis support in the language of your choice through WeConnect.

You will also have an opportunity to get your questions answered by a Alumo representative.

Check back for registration information as details are finalized.
