# ALS: BSWD - Am I Eligible?

**Am I Eligible?**

To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:

- You have self-identified and been verified as having a [permanent, persistent, or prolonged disability.](https://www.ontario.ca/page/osap-definitions#section-31)
- You have applied for and are eligible for OSAP funding with at least $1 in calculated need.
- You have a disability-related educational expense for services or equipment that are necessary for your participation in post-secondary studies.
- You are registered with Accessible Learning Services \(ALS\).

All requests for disability-related services or equipment must be assessed by ALS to ensure they meet Ministry requirements. [Contact your Accessibility Counsellor](https://cnas.senecapolytechnic.ca/clockwork/custom/misc/home.aspx) to discuss your eligibility for specific services and items.
