# Tools for Online Learning

### Blackboard Ally

A tool for students to gain access to alternative formats of BlackBoard course files that work for different devices, learning needs and preferences. For more information, view [Blackboard Ally](https://help.blackboard.com/Ally/Ally_for_LMS/Student/Quick_Start).

### Free Software for Students

All full-time students at Seneca can use the following software for free:

- [MS Teams:](https://employees.senecacollege.ca/spaces/77/it-services/wiki/view/3686/microsoft-teams) A communication and collaboration platform that brings everything together in a shared workspace within Office 365.
- [Zoom:](https://employees.senecacollege.ca/spaces/77/it-services/wiki/view/6605/zoom)A collaboration tool used for online meetings, conference calls, or online classroom sessions as needed.

### Netiquette for Online Sessions

When you become involved with online discussion groups, remember that there are acceptable rules of behaviour to follow during this online meeting. It is important to know the proper code of behaviour when using this technology.
