Siemens, one of the world’s largest high-tech manufacturing corporations, is a leader in complex technologies, particularly in complex systems integrating electrical, mechanical and computer engineering. The marriage of these three engineering fields, better known as mechatronic systems, plays an ever-increasing role in modern technology. Mechatronics is considered to be in the core of the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies which are leading to the fourth industrial revolution, often called Industry 4.0. In addition to mechatronics, it encompasses cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things and cloud computing. Industry 4.0 also creates what has been called a "smart" or "digital factory." As a result, there is a high demand for qualified and motivated personnel with mechatronics knowledge.
For this reason, Siemens has developed a comprehensive industry skill certification, the Siemens Mechatronics Systems Certification Program, offered through partner educational institutions worldwide.
Seneca Polytechnic is the first school in Canada offering this exciting Siemens certification program. For more details, please email mechatronics@senecapolytechnic.ca
All Seneca students and graduates who successfully passed following courses:
For Siemens Level 1 certificate, must pass all three courses below:
For Siemens Level 2 certificate, must pass all three courses below:
The cost of $300 CAD is set by Siemens globally and must be paid to Seneca Polytechnic before the examination.
