It’s a big weekend for the Seneca community as eight graduates are nominated for an Academy Award and three are nominated for a Juno.

The prestigious 95th Academy Awards take place on Sunday, March 12, when Hollywood honours films released in 2022. Congratulations to the following School of Creative Arts & Animation graduates whose work is nominated for the Animated Feature Film award:

  • Christine Kwok, Edward Han, Eric Stinnissen, Jordan Barg and Mitchell Yager — The Sea Beast
  • Brendan Beesley, Graham Finley and Rob Denovan — Turning Red

The 52nd Juno awards will celebrate the best in Canadian music on Monday, March 13. Congratulations to the following Independent Music Production certificate program graduates whose work is nominated for:

  • Alternative Album of the Year — Luna Li
  • Children’s Album of the Year — Keysha Fanfair
  • Recording Engineer of the Year — Derek Hoffman
