This workshop is designed for students to understand what self-advocacy is, why it is important, how to develop and maintain self-advocacy skills, and understanding the importance of self-advocacy as it relates to their academic, professional, and personal success.  

  • Students will learn what self-advocacy is as it relates to an academic and professional setting.

  • Students will learn the importance of self-advocacy in an academic and professional setting.  

  • Students will learn how to develop and maintain self-advocacy skills through role-play scenarios, videos, and worksheets.  

  • Students will learn how self-advocacy skills are helpful in supporting their academic, professional, and personal success.
