Understanding Disability Disclosure

This workshop is designed to provide participants with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively navigate the process of disclosing their disability and to advocate for their needs in the workplace.

The workshop will focus on three areas: effective communication, strategies, and useful tools and resources to help them identify and request appropriate accommodations.
 
Learning Outcomes: 
 
• How to effectively communicate needs and and accommodations in the workplace
• Learn various strategies for disclosing disabilities
• Explore tools to help determine what types of accommodations to request
 

A few things to note: 

  • Sessions are not recorded. You can expect to receive a tip sheet via email the day after the session. 
  • Digital badges are no longer offered for Career Recharge workshops. Workshops are no longer a 4-part series; you are welcome to attend any workshop of interest.
