Prior Learning assessment

  • You would need to meet in the academic area (i.e., Program Coordinator) and discuss if PLAR is appropriate based on your initial information about their relevant work/life experiences. 

  • You would need to fill out the attached form, sign it and then submit it to the Office of the Registrar to process the PLAR assessment request. 

  • The Office of the Registrar will charge the PLAR assessment fee of $107 for each course, portfolio assessment or challenge evaluation assessed through prior learning assessment. 

  • After the PLAR fee is paid, the academic area can conduct a full evaluation/assessment. If the PLAR is granted, the academic area will need to complete a PLA Grade Report and submit it to the Office of the Registrar. 

  • The Office of the Registrar will update your record to reflect the approved PLAs.
