Parking Regulations | Parking | Seneca Students

The land and grounds of Seneca College are private property and the College reserves the right to control motor vehicle access and driving on campus. The College permits parking and driving on campus grounds only upon the terms and conditions set forth in these regulations. The speed limit on College roads is 30 km per hour unless otherwise posted. Pedestrians have the right-of-way at all crosswalks.

All vehicles must park in designated parking lots and stalls. Seneca is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage to persons and/or motor vehicles, including vehicle contents. All losses, damages and/or injuries should be reported to Campus Security immediately. Drivers are required to obey all posted signage on College property and must abide by Municipal Bylaws and Seneca’s Parking Regulations.

• Improperly parked vehicles will receive a “Parking Infraction Notice” and/or may be towed at the owner’s expense and liability.
• Improperly parked vehicles include: parking in a fire route, in a bus lane, triple parking, parking on painted hash marks, parking outside of designated parking spots, parking on the grass, parked in a carpool space without being registered as a carpool, parking in an electric vehicle space with a vehicle that is not electric, parking in handicapped spots without proper permits.
• Parking permits are sold and issued to individuals and are not to be shared.
   

Accessible parking

If you have an Ontario accessible parking permit and require access to designated spots on campus, please email the OneCard office or call 416.491.5050 ext. 22087 to obtain a Seneca permit.

Traffic regulations

Seneca expects all drivers who drive on College premises to drive their vehicles on the designated roadways only, to obey all posted signs, to respect College property and do everything in their power not to cause injury/damage to our people, property or equipment.

Enforcement

Vehicles that are in violation of Seneca’s parking and traffic regulations may be issued a Notice of Trespass and may be subject to the following actions:

• Cancellation or suspension of parking privileges
• Relocation and storage of vehicle at the owner/driver’s expense
• Fines and penalties
• College sanctions
• Legal action

Seneca reserves the right to move or impound any abandoned vehicle or any vehicle which is found parked in an unauthorized area (fire route, bus route, on hash marks, etc.). Any Seneca parking privileges or permit issued with respect to such cars may be cancelled.

Note

Vehicles will receive one warning ticket for parking at Newnham Campus without a parking plan or pass. Upon repeated offence, a City of Toronto parking ticket will be issued.
