SDDS Welcomes the FLPA Program Students from Business Academy Aarhus (BAA)

SDDS Welcomes the FLPA Program Students from Business Academy Aarhus (BAA)

This past year, 12 BAA students along with 2 accompanying faculty traveled to Seneca and attended a Professional Option course alongside 12 Seneca students from June 27-July 8th inclusive. In collaboration with Seneca International, SDDS and BAA have worked together to plan logistics to facilitate promotion, selection and registration of students in the course.

Seneca and BAA first signed a MOU in 2015 followed by an exchange agreement in the same year. In April 2020 Seneca and BAA renewed their student exchange agreement. Since then, Seneca has hosted many BAA delegations. The partnership has evolved into student exchange opportunities, faculty led-programming, and faculty-exchanges. BAA partners primarily with Seneca’s School of Biological Sciences & Applied Chemistry (BSAC) and recently expanded this partnership to the School of School of Software Design & Data Science (SDDS).

Faculty-led Program Abroad (FLPA): In 2017, Seneca and BAA developed a faculty-led program for students studying Chemical Engineering Technology (CHY). In 2019, a new FLPA was created for students studying Software Development (BSD) and Computer Programming and Analysis (CPA). In both cases, institutions alternate the hosting responsibilities, which include hosting students and faculty for 2 weeks in late June/early July. Seneca hosts BAA students through a Professional Option course that is co-developed with a faculty from BAA. Similarly, BAA hosts Seneca students with accompanying faculty on a course that is co-developed with Seneca faculty leads.
