The orientation for School of Software Design and Data science January intake took place on 4th January 2023 at Seneca International academy, Markham campus for Diploma programmes CPP & CPA which had a huge turnout, approximately 120 students attended the orientation. The orientation also included an Install fest where faculty and fellow students helped new students with their Windows laptops and MacBooks to install the required software for their respective machines.

The Orientation was divided into two rooms, one in which Catherine Leung was helping students with their MacBooks with the help of a lab monitor, and another room was run by Rob Robson and lab monitors who helped students with their Windows machines.

The students were given a thorough explanation of the course outline and the resources accessible to them during the Orientation talk that Ian Tipson delivered concurrently. The presentation also provided comprehensive details regarding available resources and who they might contact if they have any questions or concerns throughout their Seneca career.

Overall, the orientation was a success, and the students who attended had a good time and left with their laptops ready to go!
