First Time Setup for New Users | IT Services | Seneca Students

Set up your personal email and/or SMS cellphone number as password recovery methods if you forget your password.

1. In your Welcome email, click the link under "Please set-up your profile by following these steps".
2. Sign in with your Seneca email address and password in the Welcome email.
3. If you are logging in with a temporary password you will be prompted to change your password. Your password must meet the minimum requirements to proceed.
   1. Enter your temporary password in the Current Password field.
   2. Enter your new password and confirm your new password.
      1. Click Sign In.
         
         
      2. Upon updating your password successfully, you will be prompted to keep your account secure, click Next.
         
         

4. You can now update your phone number. After entering your new number, you’ll be asked to verify it.

   If you forget your password, you can use your phone number to reset it. We recommend setting up two sign-in methods for added security.

   
   
5. After entering your phone number, click Next. Once your number is verified, you’ll be directed to the screen below.
