About ArcGIS Pro for desktop

Students and faculty within the School of Environmental and Civil Engineering Technology can download ArcGIS for desktop at no cost.

If you are enrolled in an eligible program, or are employed through one of the eligible schools, you can obtain a single-user license and the software to install ArcGIS on your home computer.

How to download the ArcGIS Pro 3.2 Installer:

1. Visit https://senecatechnology.maps.arcgis.com and select Seneca SSO.
2. Sign in using your @myseneca.ca account (or @senecapolytechnic.ca for employees).
3. Click on your username on the top right-hand side and select My Settings. 
4. Click Licenses.
5. Under Licensed products, navigate to ArcGIS Pro and click Download ArcGIS Pro.
6. Confirm that you are installing English (Version 3.2) and click the Download button.
7. Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0.5 is required prior to launching the ArcGIS Pro installer.
   • • Click the link above following the installation prompts.
     • It may be necessary to restart your device.
8. Launch the ArcGIS Pro application to extract it to your computer.
   • • Upon completion, confirm the check box and click Close.

Licensing and authorization

1. Choose the option to Sign in with your ArcGIS organization’s URL. 
2. Use https://senecatechnology on the URL.
3. Check the option to remember this URL and click Continue.
4. Click Seneca SSO.
5. Sign in using your @myseneca.ca account (or @senecapolytechnic.ca for employees).

Installing updates

1. Click Settings
2. Click About and Download Now
3. After the update is completed, restart the application.
4. Confirm that you have the latest version.
