Global Learning and Engagement is proud to offer all Seneca students the opportunity to expand their cultural intelligence!

Cultural intelligence (CQ) is the capacity and capability to relate and work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. It encompasses the ability to understand, adapt to, and navigate cultural differences, fostering successful interactions in both personal and professional settings. By participating in this 10-week, co-curricular opportunity, you will gain the confidence to function more effectively across cultural contexts and intercultural workplaces, both at home and abroad.

Discover how to navigate and thrive in culturally diverse environments by watching our introduction video on Cultural Intelligence (CQ) above! We hope you will join us!

Testimonials

REFLECTION FROM SENECA STUDENTS

I learned so much and met a lot of new people, who I know call friends through taking this CQ Badge. My favourite part of the experience was having a safe space to have different discussions where every one's opinions/ perspectives were heard during the workshops. This badge was life-changing for me both personally and professionally.

Community Services student, Summer 2023

I learned to adapt myself in advance to the skills of getting along with people of different cultures and become aware of some sensitive issues. It'll help me make friends more easily in the future.

Public Safety student, Summer 2023

CQ helped me have meaningful connections with people from diverse backgrounds. I not only learned about their cultures but also forged genuine friendships. Hearing their stories and perspectives provided insights that I might not have encountered otherwise. I also gained a deeper appreciation for the complexities of multiculturalism
