+1. What is the duration of the Global Summer Classroom?

 

The Global Summer Classroom program runs from July 14th to August 4th, 2025 (3 weeks), offering participants an immersive academic and cultural experience. An optional fourth week, from August 4th to August 11th, will provide a condensed, experiential component focused on Cultural Intelligence (CQ) training.

Applications for the Global Summer School program typically open in mid-September of the preceding year. Please visit our website for the exact application dates and deadlines. We recommend applying early to secure your spot.

+3. Can international students apply for the Global Summer School program?

 

Yes, the Global Summer School program is open to both domestic and international students at Seneca, along with students from post-secondary institutions around the world. We welcome diverse perspectives and experiences in our program.

+4. When and how should I apply for the Global Summer School?

 

Applications should be submitted by March 7, 2025 through our online registration portal. The application process involves submitting required documents, including academic transcripts and a deposit.

+5. What is the payment schedule and refund policy?

 

A non-refundable deposit of CAD 500 is required within 7 business days of receiving the conditional offer letter. Seneca students who enrol in one of the Global Summer Classroom's courses will be charged regular course tuition. Please refer to Seneca's academic calendar for the last date to change or drop a course.

Yes, the application deadline for the Global Summer Classroom program is March 7, 2025. Early registration is recommended as spots are limited and filled on a rolling basis.

Daily breakfast is provided as part of the program. Seneca students participating in Global Summer Classroom can enjoy breakfast at Newnham Residence with non-Seneca students before heading to classes.

Academic Questions

Yes, students are required to bring a personal laptop or tablet to complete coursework and participate in academic activities. Access to digital resources and online platforms is essential for engaging in course materials and assignments.

+15. How will the credit earned be reflected on Seneca transcript?

 

Seneca students are required to submit a Learning Agreement (signed by a student adviser) with your application for Global Summer Classroom. In the learning agreement, you can indicate which semester you would like the credit to be recognized on Seneca transcript. Upon your successful completion of Global Summer Classroom, you will receive the academic credit as mentioned in your learning agreement.
