Gopal has spent the last 37 years in various middle and senior management roles within the broader hospitality sector, working in Japan, India, Saudi Arabia and Canada.
He has held roles from front office, F&B service, to sales & marketing, working in industries such as hotel management companies, restaurants, airlines and global hotel brands.
In addition to a degree in Hotel Management and Food Technology from Sophia Polytechnic in Mumbai, he holds an MBA from Queen’s School of Business, Kingston ON.
His passion for championing and advocating the cause of the hospitality industry with all levels of government is evidenced by his time on the board of governors of HAC (Hotel Association of Canada), in addition to serving as Chair of the Board of Directors of TIAC (Tourism Industry Association of Canada)
