I find distance learning quite interactive!! This is a new learning experience and I am getting used to this slowly... My Teachers are amazing: you ask and they are ready to offer good help and replies back with in a day!! I must say its an overall good experience as the course material is good, flexible, and you get more time to study and work on assignments. Seneca is doing a wonderful job and I would recommend distance learning from Seneca!!

I was prepared for the regular classroom sessions but due to this pandemic, it couldn’t happen. After the online sessions began, I changed my perspective. At Seneca, my online learning experience is excellent, every faculty member helps in understanding the concepts and I can say they make the best use of technology in helping us in every aspect.

What I like the most about online learning is the comfortable learning environment.  It offers me convenience and flexibility, and the opportunity to plan study time around the rest of your day instead of the other way around.  The professors offer a great deal of opportunities for interaction. Online learning offers a greater ability to concentrate.  Another big benefit is there is no commuting to campus, so we can avoid snowstorms, thunderstorms, and so on.  This avoids class cancellations and missing class time because the bus was late.  Also, avoiding being on the bus during COVID-19 is very reassuring that we stay safe and healthy. Rather that miss important class sessions, students in online classes can always attend by participating in discussion boards or chat sessions, turning in work online on time, and watching and re-watching lectures or reading materials.

The main thing I like about the online learning would be that I get more time to concentrate on my assignments and study as I could multitask by listening to lecture and work on the assignments at the same time. As I am a mom, I don’t need to rush through the day and I feel I get more time on my program. With Professor Kandias it has been very easy learning in GBD110, as she is very supportive and always makes all the tasks for the week clear through communication and reinforcing the tasks in the online class sessions, her quick responses to emails are very helpful and I feel very supported in my online learning journey.

I really like the flexibility that online learning offers during the COVID-19 pandemic. I can learn at my own space and feel safe, and I am able to learn and participate, and complete my graduate certificate program. I really like that I am saving money on transportation and extra money usually spent at school, like for coffee. I like the fact that the professor takes their time to teach us and explain during the online class on Blackboard Collaborate to answer questions and clarify assignments and work that is required to be done.
