This webpage helps in making you aware of the process and procedures for the successful completion of TIS200: Professional Internship.
Professional internship is a flexible educational program that combines an employment experience with academic study. Students are responsible for obtaining their own placement which in turn provides a work experience that enhances academic progress and increases employability.
Enrol into TIS200, complete the important documents, and work in a paid internship for a minimum of 220 hours within the semester.
Your potential employer must complete all forms, be approved by Seneca, and have the applicable insurance coverage.Seneca Polytechnic does not accept home-based positions.
As of April 1, 2026, co-op work permits are no longer required for students participating in work placements that are part of their academic program. As a result, co-op permit letters will no longer be issued.
