As soon as you have verified that your program requires a Math Skills Assessment and you have booked your Skills Assessment at the Test Centre, it is recommended that you prepare for your Math Skills Assessment. This will ensure that your math skills are accurately evaluated and that you are placed in the appropriate math course during your first semester of study.
Seneca uses the Ontario Colleges Math Test (OCMT) to determine your knowledge in math as you prepare to enrol in college-level courses.
The assessment covers the following math topic areas: whole numbers, arithmetic, integers, decimals, fractions, ratios and proportions, percents, basic algebra, and measurements. Calculators are not permitted for this assessment.
