If you are in the Arts and Science – University Transfer (ASU) program and have booked your Skills Assessment at the Test Centre, it is recommended that you prepare for your Math Skills Assessment for ASU. This will ensure that your math skills are accurately evaluated and that you are placed in the appropriate math course during your first semester of study.
Seneca uses the Ontario Colleges Math Test (OCMT) designed for ASU students to determine your knowledge in math as you prepare to enrol in college-level courses.
The assessment covers the following math topic areas: equations and inequalities, functions, linear functions, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, the unit circle: sine and cosine functions and periodic functions. Use of a hand-held calculator is permitted for this assessment.
