In Anishinaabe Ojibwe society and culture, people who hail from the crane clan are responsible for external management. They show us that in our affairs with outside communities, we should not depreciate their needs in assuming authority over them, but instead, we should always respect each other's need for autonomy.
We chose to depict the crane alongside programs that embody the theme of external management and found that international business, marketing, hospitality and tourism worked best with this theme.
