Artificial Intelligence Literacy and Generative Artificial Intelligence

In this workshop, students will explore the foundations, functionalities and implications of Generative AI. They will gain insights into how it differs from traditional AI, understanding the mechanics behind machine learning, algorithms, artificial neural networks (ANNs), Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs) and Large Language Models (LLMs). The session will also cover the use of AI in maintaining academic integrity, addressing ethical considerations and practical strategies for evaluating AI-generated outputs. Additionally, the workshop will introduce Microsoft Copilot, highlighting its potential to enhance productivity and encourage innovation in academic settings.
