Am I allowed to interact with the picketers?
The responsibility for maintaining public safety rests with local Police. As students and employees of Seneca Polytechnic, you are asked to please avoid confrontation with picketers and remain calm and patient. General strike behaviour also dictates that you do not take pictures or video of the protesters.
What should I do if I'm prevented from crossing the picket line?
In the event you are prevented from crossing the picket line, explain politely that you are exercising your right to enter the campus and your obligation to report to work or conduct business on campus.
If you are not allowed through the picket line, or if you feel threatened, do not attempt to force your way in.
