What if I need to miss a day or if I get sick? 

All students must complete the minimum required days/hours each term. If a student is unable to attend field placement, they will be required to develop a plan with the field mentor to make up the missed time. All days/hours are to be recorded on the timesheet.  Your field liaison should be informed whenever there is a change in the schedule. Each Seneca student is entitled to request up to one (1) excused absence per semester, without having to make up the hours.  Students are encouraged to use discretion and ensure the excused absence is for an appropriate circumstance. Make up time may be completed during reading week or in week 14, however, this plan must be approved by your Mentor and Field Placement Liaison.
