    In general, CAS prefers professionals to reveal who they are as it provides greater credibility to the report and helps the child protection worker to engage in a thorough investigation. However, it is possible to make an anonymous referral to CAS by not providing any identifying information about yourself if preferred. However, confidentiality cannot be assured with certainty.  Students are encouraged to let the child protection worker know if they have concerns about being identified.
