Will I get in trouble for breaking confidentiality?
No. Duty to report overrides confidentiality. More specifically, you can and should share as much information as possible with a child protection worker, in the context of making a report. Outside of speaking with a child protection worker, details and identifying information pertaining to the reportable circumstances should be kept private to respect the confidentiality of those involved.
