    No one should advise you not to report suspicions of child maltreatment when you have reasonable grounds to do so.  Similarly, no one should stop you from reporting or consulting with a child protection agency.  Students progress at placement will not be negatively impacted in response to making a report, or consulting, when done so in good faith.
