    You would follow the same reporting process noted above. However, if the educator is a registered member of the CECE, you may also need to submit a complaint to the CECE. When speaking to a child protection worker you should ask when a report to the CECE can be made if one is warranted.   

    If the circumstances involve a staff, volunteer or student in the placement setting, the Executive Director (ED) will also need to be notified so they may follow through on any required internal investigations or mandatory employer reporting obligations. This notification would take place after you speak with a child protection worker unless that worker directs you not to notify the ED.
