Business
I took an Introduction to Business class with Dual Credit, and I was amazed at how many resources were available. The way the professor taught us the content was a unique and hands-on experience that high school or university did not offer. Taking a Seneca Dual Credit course does a perfect job of making it clear what real-world industries look like. - Kaiden Diaz (Introduction to Business)
Creative Arts, Animation and Design
Most memorable was being able to connect with my professor because I have never been able to do that before. It was really good post-secondary experience where I got more practice drawing with an industry professional and a glimpse of college. You have access to the whole campus and all the resources. It is not limited to just you classroom, you can explore and everything on campus. - Atrisa Yousefi (Drawing I, Design I) I took Digital Design I, which was a really fun course; our professor taught us how to create and design digital art by using Adobe Illustrator. I have benefited so much, it helped me with time management which is one of the most important factor in college, having the ability to manage time and be organized is really beneficial, and one day I hope people will read this and benefit from as I did. - Danny Modir Rahmati (Design I) I absolutely love the opportunity to experience a college course as a high school student! The teachers are insightful, understanding, patient, kind and I have learned and grown my skills immensely! I would 100 percent recommend this experience, as it is not only a great way to gain a high school and college credit, it is also an excellent way to dip your toes into a course you are interested in and may potentially take as part of your post-secondary education. - Sasha Fisher (Drawing I, Dining Room Service Management)

I think people should to do it because it is a smaller class, and the profs are there to help you through things you might not understand right away. It helps you get a feel for how the college environment, it has been a positive experience overall! - Andrina Gonzalez Acuna (Media & Popular Culture, Introduction to Psychology and Food, Theory and Practice) Gave insight into college, there are deadlines but you are in control. Stay on track, make relationships with teachers and classmates. - Hyder Shaikh (Media & Popular Culture, Introduction to Psychology) It helped me in the sense that I had a better understanding of how my college experience at Seneca could be and it helped me get accustomed with college expectations and available resources. I learned how strict deadlines are and how to come prepared to lessons. I also learned how to manage my time better. I felt more confident knowing that the professor was always available for questions. It’s okay not to understanding everything, it’s okay to go back and ask questions. - Amina Kerim (Psychology of Learning: Mindset & Resilience) High school doesn’t really show you what a real life would be like with your career, but I feel like Seneca’s Dual Credit does that. It helps you to better prepare for what’s to come. I think everyone should take one to see what college life is like — even if you don’t know what you want to do. One of the things that I wasn’t expecting was how much I enjoyed the professors. They were very helpful and patient. As a high school student taking my first college course, I really appreciated that. - Breanna Mullings (Psychology of Learning: Mindset & Resilience) Dual Credit has helped with the transition to post-secondary, from getting comfortable with the faculty, managing time and workload, and getting familiar with the programs. The professors I had for my Dual Credit courses were both understanding and helpful, especially understanding we’re still high school students. They even offered us outside of class help. - Tyrone Cunningham (Psychology of Happiness, Propaganda and Persuasion)

Although its a lot to adjust to, I am grateful for that Dual Credit program that guided me into coming to the amazing school and pursuing my dream of nursing, I enjoy learning about the human body and how it functioned and how it operated, the way I was taught was also towards understanding the material and not learning it just to pass the course. - Digiorno Morris (Anatomy & Physiology for the Practical Nurse)
"I want to be a Flight Attendant" has been and always will be my answer when someone asks me the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Again, because of Seneca’s Dual Credit Program, the excitement that I own now is an act of gratitude for allowing me to get a head start on my life and is what motivates me in the uniform that I wear on a weekly basis. - Mara Balmaceda (Flight Attendant Specific - Policies and Procedures) Clarified the difference between high school and college. Everyone is in the same boat you are not alone and the program really works, everyone is more confident. It's helpful to understand the different styles of learning and teaching and helps confirm or change a career path for free. - Connor Jesseau (Food, Theory and Practice) It gives you a head start in college. Showed the difference between high school and college and showed us what to expect from the start. Just go for it, keep and open mind and try something new. - Joelin Maloney (Flight Attendant Specific - Policies and Procedures) It helped me prepare for college because Dual Credit is a college-level course that gave me the opportunity to meet new people and learn how to time manage the course work. I really liked my professor, and she was very helpful. She would always offer help before or after class to anyone. The professor was amazing. I also really liked the environment of the school and how everyone is respected and included. I would say to just apply because there is no harm in trying it because it is completely free. It is really going to make a difference and help you figure out a program you might want to apply to. - Khadija Ahmed (Tourism Destination Exploration)

It gives you the opportunity to branch out and try something new. Coming on campus, meeting different people, I felt part of the Seneca community. Utilize the resources and services and the gym! - Emma Wu (Forensic Crime Scene Investigation, Food, Theory and Practice) I definitely recommend it because it gives you an understanding of college and helped solidify my interest in the field and what I wanted to do. The atmosphere was welcoming and inclusive, there are always people there to help. - Maddy McKenzie (Fire Protection Fundamentals) I would recommend Dual Credit because it was a great experience. The extra credit is enticing and transportation is included. If you want to experience what college life is like, the Dual Credit program is a great way to see it. You can experience all the amazing things that can happen when you take the program. The most memorable thing was making friends — I still talk to them to this day and we all support each other. If I didn’t take Dual Credit, I wouldn’t have made the friends I have now. Class sizes were much smaller, and professors were more accessible. Learning from different people and cultures really helped me a lot. If I would’ve known this in Grade 11, I would’ve taken more Dual Credit courses! - Alvin Vethanantham (Interpersonal Communications, Foundations of Psychology)
Dual Credit gets you ahead in high school and college. The programs you can take are way beyond the limits of what high schools can offer. You don’t have to pay for them! It’s a little intimidating when you first go to campus, but you will fit in! - Simon Ramirez Ramirez (Propaganda and Persuasion, Introduction to Sociology: Social Inequality)
I would 100% recommend any and all dual credits - I have never enjoyed going to a class more. It made doing assignments and work enjoyable. It is very different studying for a topic that you are passionate about. I got to meet students from other schools and bond with them. - Ireland Riley (Behaviour of Animals)
