Our Security team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week across Seneca campuses. You’ll see our security staff around campus, but our role goes far beyond responding to emergencies. We’re here as a resource whenever you need help, information or support.
One of the best things you can do at the start of the semester is download the SenecaSAFE mobile app.
SenecaSAFE puts important campus safety tools and information right at your fingertips. Depending on what you need, you can use features such as Live Chat with Security, Friend Walk and WorkAlone, as well as access emergency information, campus resources and important safety notifications.
Take a few minutes now to explore the app so you already know where these tools are if you ever need them.

Security can assist with suspicious activity, concerning behaviour, lost property, medical incidents, safety concerns and emergencies. Even if you’re unsure whether something should be reported, contact us. We would rather hear from you and help determine the next step.

Our security staff are part of the Seneca community and are here to provide support, answer questions and connect you with the right campus resources when needed.
You’ll also find safety resources throughout our campuses, including Code Blue emergency phones and AEDs. Take a moment during your first few weeks to notice where safety equipment and Security locations are around the areas where you spend the most time.
Campus safety works best when everyone plays a part.
Stay aware of your surroundings, keep your personal belongings with you, avoid sharing access cards or credentials, report hazards when you see them and look out for one another.
Most importantly, trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, you don’t have to handle it alone.
A new semester is an opportunity to meet new people, try something different and take another step toward your goals.
