The accessible and portable nature of micromobility devices, such as e-bicycles and e-scooters, makes them a great and affordable way to stay active and greener, however, this also makes them easy targets for theft.

To ensure our community maintains their safety, we ask all community members using the electronic versions of these devices to properly secure them in the many available outdoor spaces.

We do not authorize the use or storage of these devices indoors, and you may be requested by security to properly secure your device outdoors.

You can prevent unfortunate circumstances from happening by:

• Remaining alert when operating your device, and always wear the appropriate protective equipment.
• Ensuring you park your device in a well-lit, high-traffic, authorized location preferably near a camera.
• Securing your device with a bolt-cutter-proof locking mechanism and removing key components of your device if it allows (such as the seat).
• Do not hang or leave peripheral items such as helmets or personal belongings on your device.
• Giving your device a makeover! Whether it's a sticker, or something unique to make it easily identifiable if it is stolen.

•  If you suspect you have been a victim of theft, ensure you document all your findings and report your concern to your local police department.
  • Who: Describe exactly who you are
  • What: Describe exactly what was stolen, and what you were wearing at the time
  • Where: Describe exactly where it was stolen from
  • When: Describe exactly what time and date you parked your device, and when you noticed it missing
• If an incident occurs on-site please report it to security.
