How do I extend my Study Permit online?

Step 1: Log in to your IRCC Account
Note: if you do not have an IRCC GC Key account or have lost access to your existing account, you will need to create a new account.

Step 2: After logging in, click on "Apply to come to Canada", then select "Visitor visa, study and/or work permit".

Step 3: Complete the online questionnaire and select "Study Permit (in Canada)" when prompted.

Step 4: Once completed, a personalized document checklist will be generated.
Note: The checklist may not include all required documents. You may be asked to upload additional supporting documents.

Step 5: Fill out and upload the application form IMM5709, along with supporting documents. Some documents may need to be uploaded under the "Client Information" section as a single PDF file.

Step 6: Press “Submit” and pay the application fee of $150
