    If you allow your Study Permit to expire and fail to apply for an extension before it expires, it may result in,

    • loss of legal status in Canada
    • Interruption to your studies (you no longer have authorization to study)
    • no longer be eligible to work if you were previously working based on the work condition of your study permit
    • may not be eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)

    It is important to remain having legal status at all times.
