The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is an open work permit, allowing students who have graduated from a participating Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable work experience anywhere in Canada and for any legal employers. It may be valid anywhere between 8 month and up to 3 years, depending on the length of your study program you completed in Canada.
One can apply for their PGWP inside or outside of Canada.
For steps and instructions to apply from inside Canada, view the PGWP application (in Canada) guide.
