The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is an open work permit, allowing students who have graduated from a participating Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable work experience anywhere in Canada and for any legal employers. It may be valid anywhere between 8 month and up to 3 years, depending on the length of your study program you completed in Canada.
One can apply for their PGWP inside or outside of Canada.
