The Seneca Student Federation has partnered with Himelfarb Proszanski Barristers and Solicitors to offer full-time Seneca students free legal aid services. As a student, you might face issues that might require legal aid support, and the lawyers are here to help with legal aid advice on matters such as notarization of documents, affidavits, landlord/tenant rights, and more!
Students can book a 15 minute appointment for legal aid advice in-person or online. Please note that the Legal Aid Service lawyers will not represent you in ongoing legal matters, including litigation or court proceedings.

When considering having a roommate or roommates, we suggest that you consider negotiating a roommate agreement prior to committing to renting an apartment.Prior to committing to becoming roommates it is suggested that you consider these points:
A: Rent
B: Other Charges: (How are you going to handle sharing these)
C: Chores: (Who is doing what, when and how often)
D: House rules
E: Other things
Once you have considered all these things, we suggest that you document it with a that all parties commit to and sign, with witnesses.
