Seneca Polytechnic is delighted to announce the appointment of a graduate as the new Chair of the Board of Governors.

Winston Stewart, who first joined the Board in 2020 is a graduate of Seneca’s Law Enforcement program (now Police Foundations). He is the first graduate to chair the board in Seneca’s history.

Mr. Stewart replaces outgoing Chair Ashif Somani. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation for the excellent leadership Mr. Somani provided during his many years of service on the Board.

Nancy Naylor becomes Vice-Chair and Chair of the Academic Planning and Student Affairs Committee. Vice-Chair Kimberly Moran returns as Chair of the Finance and Administration Committee.

A warm welcome to the new members of the Board: new external member Lily Chen, Mandy Hadenko-Hodgkinson as administrative staff representative and Jiya Modi as student representative.

Also returning to the Board for 2024-25 are external members Samantha Craig-Curnow, Steven Linthwaite, Hiten Makim and Bill Pearson, President David Agnew, support staff representative Nadine Chautilal and faculty representative John Kucharczuk.

We thank our outgoing governors for their service to Seneca: student representative Shiree Bain, external member Chris Bullen and administrative representative Maria May.
