The third annual edition of the Silver Screen Shorts event provided students in the Honours Bachelor of Communications & Media program with a great opportunity to showcase their creativity and professionalism.

The event was the culmination of the fall term of the Intro to Audio and Video Production course.

Like any good film festival, Silver Screen Shorts also included award presentations and a red-carpet experience.

At another capstone event, students in the Multiplatform Storytelling course were tasked with creating short film projects, including marketing campaigns and production documents.

The students presented their materials to a star-studded panel of professionals from across the film industry, including award-winning director Tristan Barrocks, environmental filmmaker Dr. Peyman Naeemi and Emmy Award-winning director Stefan Scaini.

The filmmakers critiqued each submission, offering students valuable feedback that will help shape their careers.
