Three Seneca students were part of the Team Ontario delegation at the Skills Canada competition on May 28-29 with all three earning medals for mastery of their disciplines.

Ankush Patil received a silver medal in Cloud Computing, while Kristen Pond won silver in IT Software Applications and Nicholas Rosati landed a bronze medal in Electronics.

The students had earned their spots as Ontario’s representatives in their fields by winning gold medals at the Skills Ontario competition in early May. Mr. Rosati additionally earned an Award of Excellence at that event as the top-scoring participant from any postsecondary institution.

Ten other Seneca students also returned from Skills Ontario as medal-winners.

Skills Canada is an annual event bringing more than 550 students and apprentices under one roof to show their skills and compete in more than 40 disciplines related to skilled trades and technology.
