Are you a woman looking to advance your career, re-enter the workforce or start your own business?
If so, Career HERizons can help you get there.
Offered through HELIX, Seneca’s innovation and entrepreneurship incubator, Career HERizons is now hosting free programs and services tailored to help those who identify as women achieve their ambitions.
“We are #SenecaProud to offer free support and skill-development opportunities to women exploring a new career path,” said Chris Dudley, Director, Entrepreneurship, Seneca Innovation. “HERizons will also introduce participants to thought leaders and new support networks to help them reach their goals.”
Initial Career HERizons offerings include online courses in business English and business math and career development sessions. Microgrants for female entrepreneurs will also be available.
Content is designed and tailored for those who identify as women, but all are welcome.
Career HERizons is being offered in partnership with College of the Rockies and has been made possible by a $2-million grant from the Government of Canada Women’s Employment Readiness pilot program.
Workshops will be offered online and in person. Participants will have access to immersive VR simulation learning sessions on topics such as how to prepare for interviews and public speaking, as well as HELIX’s various resources for entrepreneurs and networking events with successful business leaders.
“Each year, we will also host, HELIX RISE,” added Mr. Dudley. “This is a summit that brings together female thought leaders to share insights on topics such as personal branding, finances and more.”
