2023 College Day at Queen’s Park | MyNews | Seneca Students

President David Agnew along with several Seneca students and employees attended the 2023 College Day event held at Queen’s Park on Tuesday, March 21. The annual Colleges Ontario showcase provides an opportunity for students and faculty from Ontario’s 24 colleges to highlight new initiatives and demonstrate their expertise to MPPs, college presidents and community leaders. This year’s event celebrated culinary innovation at Ontario colleges.

Seneca’s exhibit included an interactive display highlighting an applied research project that developed a series of crop recipes to determine ideal indoor light intensity and frequency for optimum growth. This project was a partnership between Seneca Innovation, the School of Biological Science & Applied Chemistry and Just Vertical, an indoor vertical farming company.
