Seneca Polytechnic and Amity University Dubai have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to facilitate a variety of cross-institutional opportunities.

The MOU commits the two organizations to exploring the potential for students and faculty exchanges, developing applied research capabilities and examining microcredential and pathway opportunities.

President David Agnew and Dr. Saif Al Seiari, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Dubai, signed the memorandum on Monday, June 12 at Amity’s Dubai campus in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Witnessing the signing were Lindsay Margenau, Chargé d`affaires at the Consulate General of Canada in Dubai, and Dr. Fazal Malik, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Dubai.

The partnership between Seneca and Amity aligns with UAE’s National Strategy for Higher Education 2030 to facilitate international student and staff mobility.

On the signing of this agreement, President Agnew said, “We are delighted to be entering a partnership with Amity University Dubai and look forward to building a strong and enduring relationship that will be of mutual benefit to our students, faculty and communities. We share a global outlook, focused on high-quality teaching and learning that provides our graduates with great opportunities.”
