First cohort of the Career Ready Future Ready initiative graduates | MyNews | Seneca Students

Last week, graduates from the first cohort of the Career Ready Future Ready initiative successfully completed their program. The program, delivered by HELIX, is the result of a partnership between Seneca Polytechnic and Balmoral Aid and Support Services.

This three-week program equips newcomers with the vital skills required to navigate the professional landscape in Canada. It focuses on fostering communication, networking, adaptability, leadership and design thinking. The curriculum also emphasizes the importance of a growth mindset.

The ceremony provided a platform for graduates to share their personal stories of growth and transformation. Graduates felt a sense of joy, accomplishment, hope and community at the ceremony, which is a testament to Seneca's commitment to providing innovative, inclusive educational opportunities and empowering newcomers with the tools they need to succeed in the workforce.
