ITS Notice — Microsoft Stream (Classic) Retiring

Microsoft announced it is retiring Stream (Classic) and replacing it with Stream (on SharePoint) on Friday, Sept. 15

Who or What is the impact?

  • Students and employees will be able to upload videos to Stream (Classic) until Sept 15
  • Videos uploaded to Stream (Classic) by Sept 15 will remain available but set to “read-only” until they are migrated by Information Technology Systems (ITS) to Stream (on SharePoint)
  • Details regarding the migration of videos from Stream (Classic) to Stream (on SharePoint) will be communicated at a later date

What do you need to do?

  • Start using the new Stream (on SharePoint)
  • In preparation for the migration, please delete any videos that are no longer needed from Stream (Classic)
