For the first time since 2019, Seneca Works hosted its two-day career fair at Newnham and Seneca@York campuses on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4.
The in-person event saw more than 90 representatives from nearly 50 organizations networking with almost 700 students.
During the career fair, students had the opportunity to enjoy complimentary photos, thanks to the LinkedIn Photobooth on site.
Additional highlights included visiting Career Threads; Seneca’s on-campus clothing store that provides gently used business clothing to students free of charge. More than 100 students received wardrobe styling assistance ahead of their first day on the job.
Con-Elco Group, an employer present at this year’s event, was happy to join the Seneca job fair on Oct. 3.
“Based on the responses at the fair, we have since interviewed candidates and hired a candidate to commence work at the beginning of November,” says Namby Vithiananthan, Chief Financial Officer, Con-Elco. “We are thankful to our partnership with Seneca that has resulted in another successful recruitment of a Seneca graduate. We have many Seneca graduates in the Con-Elco group who continue to perform great work for the company.”
