Sabine Weber, Professor, School of Fashion, and several Seneca Polytechnic students appeared in the Friday, Oct. 27 episode of CBC consumer affairs program Marketplace.

Ms. Weber was interviewed as part of the show’s investigation into the sustainability claims made by some clothing manufacturers. The episode was filmed in June inside the Textile Lab at Newnham Campus.

Ms. Weber has given many media interviews on this topic following the publication of an academic study she co-authored that found Ontarians generate 500 million kilograms of textile waste per year.
