Seneca Polytechnic celebrates Pride Month

June is Pride Month in Canada, a time when members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and their allies come together to celebrate and give thanks.

It’s no secret that we are #SenecaProud of our #SenecaPride, and we are delighted to reveal plans for how we’ll celebrate all month long.

Let’s raise the flag

To kick things off, we invite you to join President Agnew and some special guests for our annual Pride flag raising ceremony, to be held in the Courtyard at Seneca@York Campus at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4.

The ceremony will be followed by a special talk with Pride Toronto’s 2023 Trans Ambassador, Kitanya Wiltshire (she/her), who will share her advocacy work with the Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention (Black CAP) and will discuss the urgent need to break systemic barriers through a culturally responsive lens.

Just getting started

Take a look at everything planned for the month here.

See you on June 4!
