Tracking transit commutes on senecarideshare.com recently paid off for two lucky students.

Pratham Garg, a third-year student in the Computer Programming & Analysis (CPA) advanced diploma program, and Yuan Jie Wong, a first-year CPA student, each won $250 worth of OneCard credits in the Campus Services competition.

The contest, which asked students and employees to log their weekday public transit and campus shuttle trips throughout October, was held to raise commuting awareness.

Students and staff can log onto the Seneca RideShare app at any time to keep track of their journeys — by transit, bike or car etc. The program calculates how much a commute helps the environment and reduces emissions.
