As part of Seneca Polytechnic’s commitment to equity, sustainability and enhancing our virtual environment, many of our courses now offer eTextbooks — high-quality digital resources that are more affordable than hardcopy textbooks and available as soon as you enrol.

Important dates to remember

Participation in the eTextbook initiative is optional for students in the Faculty of Continuing Education (FCE) programs and courses. If you are enrolled in a program or course that uses eTextbooks for the May 2025 Term, please note the following important dates:

  • The fee associated with the eTextbooks should have appeared in your Student Home account between Monday, April 7 and Friday, May 16. This fee will replace the cost of purchasing physical textbooks for your course(s)
  • You can choose to opt out of the initiative, you would have received an email from Follett bookstore on Sunday, April 27 or later with instructions on how to opt out
  • Your deadline to opt out is  Friday, May 30

Benefits of eTextbooks

The benefits of our eTextbook initiative include:

  • Equitable: digital course materials are less expensive than hardcopy textbooks and are compatible with eReader support tools
  • Sustainable: no printing required, reducing your carbon footprint
  • Virtual: access course resources anytime, anywhere, on various digital platforms

Plus, millions of academic resources, including books, articles, videos and educational materials, are available 24-7 on the Seneca Libraries website.

If you have any questions about the fee or eTextbooks, please contact The Service Hub by emaillive chatWhatsAppSMS or visit on campus.
