Our Newnham Campus is set to host advanced voting for the upcoming Canadian federal election as part of Elections Canada’s Vote on Campus program.

This initiative aims to make voting more accessible for students, employees and community members, ensuring everyone can participate in the upcoming election. Currently, approximately 120 university, college and polytechnic campuses across Canada are set to host the program.

Polling stations will be located in the Level 2 Lounge in Building C at Newnham.

Here are the dates and times the stations will be open:

  • Sunday, April 13: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • Monday, April 14: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  • Tuesday, April 15:  9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  • Wednesday, April 16: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

To vote, you must be at least 18 years old and a Canadian citizen. Remember to bring your ID. When you vote on campus, you'll be casting a special ballot for a candidate in the riding where your place of ordinary residence is located. This convenient option allows you to fulfill your civic duty without leaving campus.
