We are delighted to share that starting in the Fall 2025 Term, students participating in the eTextbook initiative at Seneca Polytechnic can enjoy a better learning experience. Our Campus Store partner, Follett Higher Education, has selected Kortext as its new ebook platform.

What is Kortext?

Trusted by over 7,000 campuses and 3 million students globally, Kortext can empower you with smarter study tools, built-in collaboration, industry-leading accessibility features and a robust library of open educational resources.

This short introductory video highlights the platform’s key features:

What it means for you

You can benefit from having:

  • Smarter study tools like shared annotations, interactive notetaking, as well as natural-sounding AI-powered text-to-speech
  • Anytime, anywhere access to digital learning materials with native apps for iOS, Android, Windows and Mac, plus offline reading
  • Robust security and privacy

Accessing your eTextbooks

When you purchase digital course materials as part of the eTextbook initiative this Fall Term, you will receive an access code on the receipt, an order status email or a direct login at read.kortext.com.

Additionally, instead of using the Brytewave link like you did in the past, you can use the “Follett My Materials (BookStore)” tile that's accessible from within your Learn@Seneca (Blackboard) account.

Follett My Materials (BookStore) tile icon in Learn@Seneca

It will provide you with:

  • A list of all the courses you’re enrolled in
  • What materials are required and info on how to purchase them
  • Access to any digital materials you’ve purchased or that have been provided to you, including those through Brytewave (as long as the licenses are still valid)

Follett Support is also available to assist you with any questions or issues you may experience.
